Now more than ever before, organisations and individuals need to be able to communicate to stay on top of their business, wherever staff happen to be. Every lost call could be costing valuable time and money. DECT allows seamless communications.
DECT gives customers the ability to answer calls from anywhere in the building when away from there desk. A DECT System consists of base stations that are placed around the building, the positioning and amount of base stations are determined by a site survey. The range of a base station varies from 50 meters indoors and up to 600 meters outdoors. For calls to have good reception throughout the building each base station must be able to hand the call over to another base station, this means that a base stations signal strength must overlap with another's as shown opposite.

DECT technology is becoming ever more popular for business use and the Panasonic KXTD platform provides this facility as an additional option. By connecting a DECT module to the system you could have from 16 to 64 cordless extensions (depending on which particular KX-TD platform you have). The DECT handsets are served by cell or base station units, positioned within your building to provide the correct coverage for your requirements as shown below.
